Participant in AGILE demonstration complete, secure domestic move of Military vehicles.
Trevost, PA - October 20, 2003 - The Delaware River Maritime Enterprise Council (DRMEC) has invited NaviTag Technologies to participate in a Department of Defense demonstration designed to demonstrate enhanced military distribution pipeline visibility to multiple stakeholders (appropriate components of DoD, as well as federal, state, and local law enforcement).
DRMEC’s project is a national demonstration of advanced agile high-speed transport and logistics technologies being developed for the benefit of commercial and military shippers and transporters. The Project - called RAPID System® - will enable the US Department of Defense (US DoD) to leverage commercial transport and logistics assets to improve strategic mobility requirements during times of peace and national need while minimizing disruptions to commercial operations.
The mission of the RAPID System is to demonstrate the value of investing in the most efficient, secure, socially and environmentally beneficial intermodal infrastructure linking ports and forts and inland intermodal terminals to support the needs of commercial and military shippers moving high value cargoes.
